Ambitious Anthony started drawing at the age of four. During a visit to his friend’s house, he became acquainted with her father, an animator for Disney. He saw the magic within his artwork and wanted to learn more. Eventually, his skills led him to enter Seneca College’s Game Design and Animation Program in 2005.
His journey there wasn’t as straightforward as one might think. Although he loved visual arts, he pursued a different passion after high school in the performing arts. After sometime, he decided to dip his toes back into visual art by doing a part-time cartooning college courses. After completing courses one and two of cartooning, he decided to take a one-year college program called Art Fundamentals. This program only reassured him that visual art was a path he still wanted to peruse. He then decided to go full-time in a college Art Fundamentals program that built an understanding of the human form and created the necessary portfolio to apply to Seneca College’s Animation Program.
For the three-year program at Seneca, he found himself happily creating art alongside many talented peers. He also loved learning from the array of amazing teachers and mentors at Seneca College. Seneca provided the necessary skills to shape him into a professional artist. It gave him an understanding of professionalism, but he was not ready to commit to this career. At the time, he was still chasing his dreams in the performance arts. In 2018, he found his way back to visual art as a freelance artist.
In 2021, he started building a catalogue of fan art with his favorite characters and now you can buy prints of them at conventions and events he attends. At his booth you will often find him and one of his daughters, nieces or nephews as he is a family man trying to inspire the next generation.
Currently, he aspires to be a comic book cover artist and to do splash art for video games. With his solid work ethic and passion for art, he will continue to reach for his goal and reach them in the near future.
